I was watching this show on TLC with cute half-asian kids
They parents have 6 year old twins and 2 year old sextuplets
the parents are having a big birthday part yfor the sextuplets turning 3
Mom - *talking to one of the 2 year olds* "What is today?"
Kid - "..."
Mom - "It's a party. Who is the party for?"
Kid - "God?"
I don't care if it's pathetic that it was the single funniest thing I've heard all week |

So I decided to prepare a picture post of our memories together because I figured we've only known eachother for 2 years. But then it was taking far too long and I have to go eat my 'last supper' so instead I'm just going to ask you to remember that we've packed a lot of good shit into 2 years.

YESTERDAY :
- got to the island at 9:30 , left at 12:30 - home at 2
- hung out with guy I'd never met but was secretly obsessed with all year
- ate tofu backstage with all the bands
- got attacked by a duck who was surprisingly not at all afraid of me
- sold merch to people who didn't speak english, had facial hair no woman should have, and bjork fans (weird)
- met mutemath and had an actual conversation
- wandered around behind the stages in the morning
- learned merch selling is a lot harder than it looks
- held $1250 worth of massively overpriced bjork posters
I loved yesterday, today should be even better! |

ok so tomorrow I'm going away for the weekend (hooray!!) then I'm coming back Sunday, packing Monday (maybe), then leaving Tuesday Afternoon for the land of David Beckham, chips, tea and queens with limited fashion sense and bad hats.

Dear Matt (a.k.a McDrunkface / the Scottish Tank),
I had a dream last night and the only person I can remember from it is you. I thought it was funny cause we had some random conversation about having a dreamtalk or something?? Anywaysssss, all I can remember is that you drove around a lot and you drove fast. According to dream interpretations, that means me and you will be restless and uneasy even in pleasant situations...so hooray for us!!
Dear everyone else (david zinman will enjoy this one),
I decided to completely redo my drumset and take everything apart. I've now lost my will to tinker. It's the equivalent of trying to build the most popart ikea furniture with no instructions or pictures, then add in the idea of consistent pitch and so you spend a day just hitting things and listening to them ring.
On the bright side, this cool guy gave me a pen with a maraca on it.
Kelly said she's in for freaks and geeks marathon night..
Alyssa?Goodman?Gill? You guys seem like you'd be interested...

Dear livejournalists,
I'm playing a show June 24th
I completely understand that it might not be your cup of tea in terms of genre, but our headlining band was changed and now promo is going to be a lot harder....I'm gonna be working my butt off to try and get the word out
so I ask you dear users of the live journal,
i'd like my friends to be there but if you can't be, that's cool
all I ask is that you tell any friends you may have that might be interested
I think we've put together a good lineup, but with the headlining change we're gonna need some help to prevent us from losing a lot of money
so help spread the word....tell your friends....invite them to the facebook event.....whatever people can do to help out is much appreciated
if you're gonna bring like 5 people with you, we'd have no problem letting you in for free

p.s. - Keep Saturday June 30th open .... I'm having a goodbye Goodman/Alyssa/Me party //BBQ //Craft show if I can organize it intime // fireworks nearby at my barn.......it'll be free food, some acoustic sets (if anyone wants to play just lemme know), and if I am charging money I assure you it'll all be for charity

So I finished exams yesterday morning (yes...I did have a 3-hour 8am exam on a saturday morning)
and now I feel like I was scuba diving too low and I came up to fast and my head is a ball of pressure
I think I'm going to keep my marks to myself this year because last year haunted me all throughout this year as if I'm some walking statistic and I'm introduced by my gpa
Last summer I was taking courses, which sucked really badly
but this summer I am not and I'm super excited about it
here's just a list of shit I have planned and if anyone wants in on it lemme know:
1. Cleaning/painting/decorating my barn (this need to be done before parties and stuff can happen there)
2. woodshoppin' it up in the barn (all the machines and tools are lonely when they're not being used)
3. baseball gamesssssss
4. the centre island day!!!
5. hopefully hillside...Lisa I REALLLLLLY wanna go now

MY DAY
9 am - my eco prof goes slighly insane and makes noises while talking about Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader
12 - marketing...where we have excessive amounts of free food like always...this week featured cookies, crystal light, couscous, hot chocolate, popcorn and weird tuna/pasta shit
2 - we get news that the school is closing at 3
3 - we get kicked out of the library so I begin my adventure home

5 - curious why I'm still in the car for what should have been a 30min drive, I look down and notice I'm running out of gas. Realizing my chance of finding gas is slim to none, I turn off the music and heat to try to conserve gas

6 - I'm cold and bored...and still on the highway
7 - I finally arrive home after 4 straight hours in the car, an overactive bladder and no music or heat. People drove like friggin maniacs and intersections were gridlocked like I have never seen before.
10 - I'm still cold
Lesson of the Day - pee before you go. If I hadn't stopped at a place to pee early during hour 1...the consequences would have been kinda gross |

On Monday, we left for Blue Mountain. Matt (  ), whose name will be used a lot in this entry considering he's the only one on my lj that went, decided a girl's car would be smart. I decided a map wasn't necessary. Those 2 made for the longest drive up to Blue in the history of the universe.
A Turkey, a few hawks, wet pants and a dozen missed turns later..we arrived

I was reading my economics textbook to prepare for my test tomorrow
and it had a whole section titled:
"Why Everyone Loves Britney Spears"
yes..it can be explained and yes the explanation is hilarious
it says that she could come out on stage and play checkers and everyone would come out saying they loved the show

I'm thinkinggggg some sort of horrible movie night/renting guitar hero/bar then back to my house/midnight toboganning if weather permits??

FUCKKKKK
that restore from saved draft doesn't work
so I shall repeat my whole entry
My school tuition is double that of anyone elses because my program is on crack and charges a flat fee
I pay well over 9000 per year just for COURSES
this week a referendum passed that'll see me paying 89 more per semester for free mississauga bus passes, while my parking pass costs go up for the 3rd year in a row
Soooooo..I got to thinking
Why not just move to mississauga next year
( Amanda math...beware )
CONCLUSION :
so in the end, $730 monthly rent would be paying for itself
and when I did go home I could just use the 401 because I'd be going against rush-hour traffic and time wouldn't be a big issue
I just don't think I could live alone for 8 months...I'd go rather crazy
p.s. weird thing
last night at 1:30am someone was knocking on my door..it was some random guy
after we didn't answer (for obvious reasons), he went across the street and knocked on their door
they answered then 5 seconds later closed the door in his face
then he went across the street again to knock on my neighbour's door
weird huh? |
